Adding to the longest winning streak in Section 5 Freelance this week, Aquinas Institute beat Jamestown 48-34. This was the team's 11th consecutive win.
Aquinas Institute led the league in scoring this week by notching 48 points on the Red Raiders. Jake Zembiec threw for 313 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 49 yards during the win.
Chris Battaglia's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Luch Pietropaolo contributed 96 yards. Alonzo Turney helped Aquinas Institute's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 102 yards.
He was 20-35 with 1 interception.
Zembiec put up the best numbers through the air as the Little Irish defeated Jamestown. Zembiec's favorite target this week was Donato Clemente, who caught 9 passes for 123 yards.
Aquinas Institute's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Little Irish feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Zembiec has thrown for 1,569 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, while Clemente has 27 catches for 426 yards.
Aquinas Institute led the league in points allowed with 34.
