The Blair Vikings struggled with assists on Thursday (the South Pasadena Tigers had 12 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Blair was dealt a 93-49 loss at the hands of the Tigers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Blair has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Blair still got an impressive performance from Nazsir Cammon, who scored 18 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Andrew Patterson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Blair struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
South Pasadena got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Derek Peterson out in front who scored 20 points along with four steals. Peterson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Madison, who scored 17 points along with two steals and two blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for Blair and nudges their season record down to 14-11. As for South Pasadena, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-6.
Blair does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Pasadena won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Saints at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hillcrest Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
