Basketball Recap: Norfolk Catholic Falls Despite Big Games from Hannah Hoesing and Jamaya Koehlmoos

Norfolk Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 44-28 fall against the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 57-26 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Despite the loss, Norfolk Catholic had strong showings from Jamaya Koehlmoos, who posted four points and six boards, and Hannah Hoesing, who had no points. The dominant performance also gave Koehlmoos a new career-high in assists (two).

Norfolk Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Bishop Neumann, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Norfolk Catholic will head out to take on Winnebago on Thursday. Norfolk Catholic is facing Winnebago at the right time seeing as Winnebago is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Bishop Neumann, they will welcome Gross Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Gross Catholic will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bishop Neumann surely won't give up without a fight.
