Millers Creek Christian is 4-0 against University Christian since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Millers Creek Christian Lions will get right back to it and host the University Christian Barracudas at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
On Monday, Millers Creek Christian ended up a good deal behind Ashe County and lost 52-37. Millers Creek Christian has struggled against Ashe County recently, as their matchup on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, University Christian came up short against Statesville Christian on Tuesday and fell 62-51.
Despite their defeat, University Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Reece Morin, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Peyton Gerken was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Millers Creek Christian has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for University Christian, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13.
