Sadly, the Webutuck Warriors are still looking for their first win of the season after 14 matches. They were beaten by Millbrook 77-44 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Webutuck can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 856th, while Millbrook is ranked 333rd).
Millbrook's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Owen Iannucci led the charge by scoring 23 points along with seven rebounds. Andrew Szostak was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Webutuck dropped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Millbrook, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
Webutuck won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rondout Valley at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for Millbrook, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rhinebeck at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Millbrook focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
