Richmond-Burton has gone a perfect 3-0 against Plano recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rockets will take on the Reapers at 4:30 p.m. Richmond-Burton will be strutting in after a win while Plano will be coming in after a defeat.
Richmond-Burton was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Marengo on Monday. The Rockets' pitcher stepped up to hand the Indians a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Rockets have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Hailey Holtz, who gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks to keep Marengo off the board. Holtz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 20 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jocelyn Hird was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Gabby Hird was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Plano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 10-5 to Harvard. That's two games in a row now that the Reapers have lost by exactly five runs.
Lindsey Cocks was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Richmond-Burton has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Plano, their loss dropped their record down to 6-18-1.
Plano's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Richmond-Burton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Plano, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Richmond-Burton keep running through batters, or will the Reapers buck the trend?
Richmond-Burton took their win against Plano in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
