Herriman waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mountain Ridge Sentinels a 1-0 shutout. Even though Herriman got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Ryan Pulsipher was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.
Herriman's one-goal win came courtesy of Jace Thomsen, who's now up to four this season.
Herriman's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Mountain Ridge, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Herriman will host Corner Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mountain Ridge, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Riverton at 3:30 p.m. on April 9.
