In what's become a running theme this season, the Midtown Knights gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They breezed by Lithia Springs on the road to the tune of 81-46. Given Midtown's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Lithia Springs is ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Midtown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sinclair Richman, who scored 12 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Briaiah Lewis, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brielle Holland, who scored eight points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Parris Hawkins, who scored nine points.
The victory was the third in a row for Midtown, bringing their record for this year to 16-3. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.67 points. As for Lithia Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
Coincidentally, Midtown and Lithia Springs will both be playing Villa Rica the next time they take the court. Lithia Springs will host Villa Rica at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Midtown will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
