The Hemet Bulldogs typically have all the answers at home, but on Wednesday the Valley View Eagles proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 69-53 victory over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Valley View.
Valley View found their leader in underclassman Charles Knight, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Knight has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. Jalyn Talbert was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Valley View is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Hemet, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-7.
Valley View will be playing at home against Temescal Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hemet, they will head out on the road to challenge Moreno Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Moreno Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 716th, while Hemet is ranked 346th).
