The Central Academy Cougars will head out on the road to  take on  the Pine Lake Prep Pride at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 On Tuesday,  everything went Central Academy's way against Monroe as Central Academy made off with  a  19-1 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Central Academy.
  Allison Proffitt and  Anna Croom made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound,  Proffitt   struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile,  Croom   pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At bat,  Proffitt  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances, while  Croom  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Marissa Easterly, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Ella Storey, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Pine Lake Prep got the win against Bradford Prep  on Friday by a conclusive  20-2.
 Like Central Academy, Pine Lake Prep also got a great game from a two-way player:  Emma Rette. She  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits (and only one walk). Rette has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Rette was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-1.
 In other batting news, Pine Lake Prep got a  massive  performance out of  Kristen Armstrong, who  went 4-for-4 with five  RBI and three  runs. Armstrong hasn't dropped below three  hits for three straight games.  Nikki Mullen was another key contributor,  scoring four  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Central Academy has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record  this season. As for Pine Lake Prep, their record now sits at 10-6.
