The Ste. Genevieve Dragons were the 50-36 winner over the Jefferson Blue Jays when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Ste. Genevieve took a 34-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jefferson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ste. Genevieve has scored all season.
Ste. Genevieve lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sadie Greminger, who scored 12 points. Greminger hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Bri Abt was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.
Ste. Genevieve's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Jefferson, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4.
Ste. Genevieve will square off against Potosi at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jefferson, they will be playing at home against Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
