The Summit Christian Academy Eagles gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past Riverfield Country Day 58-13 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-6.
Summit Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trinity Garnatz, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Gibson, who scored 13 points along with 9 assists and 7 steals.
Riverfield Country Day's loss came despite strong showings from Lily Clark and Nicya Nick. Clark scored 6 points, while Nick scored 5 points.
Summit Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Riverfield Country Day, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Summit Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Porter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverfield Country Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dove Science Academy at 7:35 p.m. on Friday.
