The Leon Lions will face off against the Buchholz Bobcats at 4:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Leon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.7  runs per game  this season.
Leon had been on  a  three-game streak of scoring at least ten  runs, but Madison County put an end to it  on Thursday. The Lions lost  8-2 to the Cowboys. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
 Leon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Lamonika Sims, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-2.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Buchholz). They blew past Rickards 18-2 on Friday. Considering the Bobcats have won six contests by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Juliana Abraham was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  six  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Madison Blackford, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Buchholz  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They are  a perfect 6-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
 Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Buchholz, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
