Marlow is 2-8 against the Dragons since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Marlow Outlaws will be playing at home against the Purcell Dragons at 8:00 p.m. Marlow is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.
A well-balanced attack led Marlow over the Indians in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Marlow enjoyed a cozy 40-25 win over the Indians. Given Marlow's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Indians are ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Marlow's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blayd Harris, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Harris hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Boomer Brooks, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Purcell came up short against the Bobcats on Friday and fell 59-46. That's two games in a row now that Purcell has lost by exactly 13 points.
Marlow has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Purcell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.
Marlow won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January, slipping by the Dragons 47-46. Will Marlow repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
