Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 20 to 12 on the offensive boards, a fact the Templeton Eagles proved on Tuesday. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over Righetti. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Templeton.
Trevon Carter givens continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Luke Cherry was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
When it comes to explaining why Righetti lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nathan Armstrong. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Troeger, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Templeton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Righetti, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
