There's no place like home for the Northwood Rangers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Continental with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 40-25.
Northwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Natalie Thompson out in front who scored 15 points along with four steals. Autumn Schroeder was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Despite the defeat, Continental saw an underclassman step up: Olivia Crossgrove scored five points along with 14 rebounds and six blocks. Crossgrove is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Northwood pushed their record up to 6-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Continental, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwood will take on Northview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northwood in Ohio (Northview is ranked 133rd, while Northwood is ranked 420th). As for Continental, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Ottoville at 7:15 p.m.
