Ruidoso led 3A District 4 in scoring this week by notching 28 points on Robertson. Cade Patterson threw for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
The Warriors made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,116 from 8,267. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 28-14 victory over the Cardinals last week.
Ruidoso's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Cisco Mayville chipped in 81 yards. David Dankert helped Ruidoso's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 22 yards.
Mayville was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 81 yards on 11 carries as Kief Johnson's team bested Robertson. Teammate Johnson added to the ground attack by rushing for 57 yards.
Ruidoso's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Patterson has thrown for 774 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Johnson has 33 catches for 632 yards.
Portales led the league in points allowed with 14.
