The Forest Hills Rangers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 53-13 victory over Somerset on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-0.
Xander Richardson looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while also picking up 38 receiving yards. Chase Williamson did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Forest Hills' win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points per game. As for Somerset, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Hills will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Tyrone at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Tyrone is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Somerset, they will head out on the road to face off against Bellefonte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
