The Classical Academy is on  a  six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while La Junta is on  a  three-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end.  David St Marie was a major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over four innings pitched. That one hit allowed gave  him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.

 In other batting news,  CJ Mullen was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and three  RBI while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  hits. Another player making a difference was  Zack Hale, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers  on Thursday. La Junta lost  16-4 to Canon City.
La Junta also got a good showing from  Eban Morales, who   pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 At the plate, La Junta saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Joshua Casillas, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
