Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Woodland's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Woodland won the last time they faced Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, and Jada Little did her part to make sure it happened again. The Woodland Wolfpack put the hurt on the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers with a sharp 57-32 victory on Friday thanks in part to Little, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave her a new career-high.

Despite the defeat, Eagle's Landing Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Natasha Smith posted eight points. Smith has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Woodland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.5 points. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
