The Desert Christian Academy Conquerors will be playing at home against the Temecula Prep Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Desert Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Wednesday.
Desert Christian Academy's 19-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They received a tough blow as they fell 50-33 to Calipatria. While losing is never fun, Desert Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 586th, while Calipatria is ranked 102nd).
Joshua Brown put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Augustine Youssef, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though California Lutheran scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, Temecula Prep still came out on top. Temecula Prep strolled past California Lutheran with points to spare, taking the game 74-57.
Their wins bumped Desert Christian Academy to 1-3 and Calipatria to 5-0.
Desert Christian Academy took their victory against Temecula Prep in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 71-47. Does Desert Christian Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Temecula Prep turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
