Nonnewaug put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Thomaston Bears with a sharp 11-4 win. The Chiefs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matches by six runs or more this season.
Jordan Kovach made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
In other batting news, Gianna DeLorenzo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She has been hot, having posted three or more RBI the last five times she's played. Ashlynn Blum was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Nonnewaug kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thomaston only managed eight hits.

The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.
