The Madison Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 65-25 loss at the hands of Norborne. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Madison has suffered since December 5, 2023.
Norborne got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braydon Cook out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Owen Albrecht was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds.
Madison has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Norborne, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12.
Madison's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Glasgow on January 29th. One thing working in Glasgow's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests. As for Norborne, they will head out on the road to take on Wellsville-Middletown on Saturday.
