Battle Creek added to the longest winning streak in C2 District 6 this week by beating Sutton, 14-8. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Crofton lost to Doniphan-Trumbull 26-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Battle Creek's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Derek Renner contributed 42 yards.
Renner was a passing and rushing force as Andrew Carlson's team beat the Mustangs.
Renner was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 42 yards as the Braves topped Sutton. Dustin Walters also contributed to the rushing game with 36 yards on the ground.
6-foot-3 quarterback Connor Osborne of West Holt is the league leader in passing yards this season with 743. He has also thrown 9 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Eli McKeown. The Battle Creek star has 13 catches for 231 yards.
Battle Creek made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,041 from 1,190. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 14-8 victory over Steve Ramer's team last week.
