The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lee County, who took down 68th ranked Lee County, 35-31. Esaias Chapman ran for 274 yards and caught two passes for 40 yards in the win.
Thomas County Central extended the longest winning streak in AAAAA Region 1 this week by beating Hardaway, 52-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Harris County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Justin Wright has thrown for 1294 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while DiQuan Roberts has 24 catches for 410 yards. Chapman leads the league in rushing with 1252 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Trojans take on Northside. As it stands, Lee County is in second, while the Patriots are in fifth.
Harris County moved up to 174 from 205 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAAAA Region 1. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Trojans 35-31.
