Providence Classical suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Monday. They were dealt a 42-11 loss at the hands of Liberty Preparatory Christian. Providence Classical has struggled against Liberty Preparatory Christian recently, as their matchup on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Liberty Preparatory Christian found their leader in underclassman Leia Garrett, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Garrett has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Hessels, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Providence Classical's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-10. As for Liberty Preparatory Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Classical will take on Grace Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty Preparatory Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson Day at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
