A Season-Best Effort from Brandon Figueroa Leads Irvine over Canyon
Irvine was led to victory by Brandon Figueroa, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Figueroa rushed for 335 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 18.6 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 94-yard run.
If history really does repeat itself, Figueroa might just drop another big game when he faces off against Troy on Friday. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Figueroa saw the Warriors), he rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown.

On Friday, Sonora had to settle for second even though Olin Morales Hyder put up the best numbers he has all season. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.

Jack Mckelvy's Big Game Leads El Toro over Sonora
Jack Mckelvy posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns.
