They walked away with a 63-53 win over John Marshall. The victory was all the more spectacular given Indian Creek's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 111th in Ohio, while John Marshall is ranked 29th in West Virginia).
McKenna Scott was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 assists. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Anderson, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Indian Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for John Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Indian Creek will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cambridge at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. As for John Marshall, they will head out on the road to square off against Oak Glen at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
