Andrew Carver posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Oakland is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-9-1 otherwise.

Coming up, Carver and Oakland will face off against Saint Ignatius College Prep at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
