A well-balanced attack led the Victory Baptist Academy Saints over the Lewisburg Baptist Academy Lions in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Victory Baptist Academy blew Lewisburg Baptist Academy out of the water with a 72-39 final score. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Victory Baptist Academy has posted since December 8, 2023.
Elijah Brookman and Dylan Wykle certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Brookman scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and two steals, while Wykle scored 16 points. Brookman also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
The win (which was Victory Baptist Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 11-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Lewisburg Baptist Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Baptist Academy on the road again on Friday and play against Morgantown Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Morgantown Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Lewisburg Baptist Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Beth Haven Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
