Aptos extended the longest winning streak in Santa Cruz Coast this week by beating San Lorenzo Valley, 59-20. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Soquel took down Harbor 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
St. Francis's Matt Clifton and Nathaniel Ceballos have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Clifton has thrown for 947 yards this season, while Ceballos, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 34 catches for 728 yards. Santa Cruz's Alex Morris leads the league in rushing yards with 527.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Pirates take on Aptos. At the moment, Harbor is in fifth, while Randy Blankenship's team is in second.
The Mariners led Santa Cruz Coast in scoring this week after putting up 59 points on the Cougars.
