After each having a week off, The Thayer Bobcats and the Charleston Bluejays will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Thayer's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were dealt a 35-7 defeat at the hands of Mountain Grove. Having soared to a lofty 68 points in the game before, Thayer couldn't push the score so high this time.
Meanwhile, Charleston's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 25-14 to Sikeston.
Thayer's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Charleston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
