Summit Classical Christian School posted their biggest victory since December 19, 2023 on Monday. They put the hurt on Quilcene with a sharp 67-46 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Summit Classical Christian School.
Summit Classical Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trey Hodo led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven assists and six steals. Hodo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Riley Hyde, who scored 11 points along with six assists and six steals.
Meanwhile, Auburn Adventist had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past Northwest Yeshiva 84-38 at home. 84 seems to be a good number for Auburn Adventist as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Auburn Adventist's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zachary Ellis, who scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ellis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of John-Andrew Dubreuil, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Summit Classical Christian School's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Auburn Adventist, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's match: Summit Classical Christian School have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 6.9 threes per game. It's a different story for Auburn Adventist, though, as they've been averaging only 5.8 threes per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
