The Kent County Trojans will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Colonel Richardson Colonels at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Kent County took a serious blow against the Buccaneers, falling 54-26. While losing is never fun, Kent County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Buccaneers are ranked 73rd).
Kent County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zoe Angenieux, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, and Kate Cannon who scored four points along with eight rebounds. Angenieux is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 57 points the game before, Colonel Richardson were a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 61-22 loss at the hands of Kent Island.
