Woodward Academy won the last time they faced St. Pius X Catholic and things went their way on Wednesday too. The War Eagles came out on top against the Golden Lions by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the War Eagles.

While Woodward Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23.

Jade Williams paced Woodward Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Williams got some help from Marissa Jones and her 23 assists. Leah Scantlebury controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Woodward Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Woodward Academy and St. Pius X Catholic will both be playing Lovett the next time they take the court. The Golden Lions will head out to face the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the War Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
