Riverton Parke has gone a perfect 10-0 against Covington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Riverton Parke is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Riverton Parke took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand North Vermillion a 10-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Emma Ugoletti was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacee Stonebraker, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Riverton Parke always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Vermillion only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Covington unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Seeger by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since April 10, 2025.
Alexus Peaslee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Ava Stein made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.
Riverton Parke has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Covington, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 12-6.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Riverton Parke hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .342. However, it's not like Covington struggles in that department as they've averaged .370. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Riverton Parke got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Covington by a conclusive 12-1 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
