Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Yucca Valley Trojans walked away with it. They blew past Buena Park 35-0 at home. Winning may never get old, but Yucca Valley sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Myles Harper was his usual excellent self, rushing for 170 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Harper really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Ramos jr, who rushed for 11 yards and a touchdown.
Yucca Valley pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Buena Park, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Yucca Valley will play host again and welcome Santa Fe, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Fe will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Buena Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
