After flying high against the Franklin Academy Cougars last Tuesday, the Prairie View Academy Spartans came back down to earth. Prairie View Academy took a hard 70-55 fall against Porter's Chapel Academy on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Prairie View Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tollan Wallace. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Wallace has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. Abram Anthony was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Prairie View Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Porter's Chapel Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Prairie View Academy will be playing at home against River Oaks at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. River Oaks is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Porter's Chapel Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
