While Rio Rancho's victory against Artesia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Rio Rancho sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Artesia on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2019.

The victory made it two in a row for Rio Rancho and bumps their season record up to 12-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Artesia, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rio Rancho will face off against Farmington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Rio Rancho's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Artesia, they will square off against Hobbs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Artesia's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Hobbs has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
