Hudsonville is 2-7 against Sterling Heights Stevenson since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans  at 5:00  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Hudsonville 1.8, Sterling Heights Stevenson 3.9) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Hudsonville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Grandville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's   matchup. The Eagles put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp  17-3 win on Thursday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six  runs or more this season.

Hudsonville let  Rickey Browley and  Caeden Kennedy run wild. Browley  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple, while  Kennedy  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. Those  two  doubles gave  Kennedy a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kaden Howard, who  went 1-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hudsonville  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Sterling Heights Stevenson faced Romeo in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Titans fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of  2-1. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Jordan Miller was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Sterling Heights Stevenson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Nathan Beck, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run.
 Hudsonville is  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4-1 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Sterling Heights Stevenson, their loss dropped their record down to 19-10.
