Pettus is 1-9 against Nordheim since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Pettus Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Nordheim Pirates at 6:15 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
A well-balanced attack led Pettus over Prairie Lea in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Pettus blew Prairie Lea out of the water with a 79-30 final score. With that victory, Pettus brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Pettus found their leader in underclassman Ramon Reyna, who scored 24 points. Reyna continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Seth Guajardo was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Nordheim came into Wednesday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Pettus by a score of 53-45 back in January. The victory was just what Nordheim needed coming off of a 94-54 loss in their prior contest.
The win makes it two in a row for Pettus and bumps their season record up to 9-17. As for Nordheim, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.
