The Stuart Broncos will face off against the Osmond Tigers on Thursday. Stuart will be strutting in after a win while Osmond will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Stuart turned things around against Chambers/Wheeler Central on Tuesday. They managed a 30-24 victory over the Renegades. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Broncos were the better team in the second half.

Stuart got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Annie Ludwig out in front who dropped a double-double with ten points and 16 rebounds. Ludwig has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. Paityn Shefflied was another key player, putting up five points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Stuart smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 7.7 offensive rebounds per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 13.2.
Meanwhile, Osmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 43-32 to Newman Grove/St. Edward.
Stuart will have to contain Kaleigh Miller as she made an impact in Osmond's last game. She dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Carianna Kumm, who posted three points in addition to 14 rebounds and three steals.
Osmond's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Stuart, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Stuart has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 26.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Osmond struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Stuart didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Osmond in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Miller, who went 7-for-13 on her way to 17 points and eight boards. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Broncos still be able to contain Miller? There's only one way to find out.
