Softball Recap: Revere Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Revere came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Copley Indians. The Minutemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Revere got a massive performance out of Paige Kelley, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Sydney Kreighbaum was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Revere was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .303 or higher in 13 consecutive contests.

Revere's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Copley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Revere will host Aurora at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Greenmen will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Minutemen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Copley, they will take on Tallmadge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Blue Devils have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
