The Nebraska Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Gering 74-47.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Micah Perdew, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Perdew scored a full 38.3% of Nebraska Christian's points, the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Oliver Herman, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Nebraska Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Gering, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Nebraska Christian and Fullerton will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Fullerton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. Gering and Crete will face off on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Crete's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
