Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Potomac 64-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaiah Grey, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Grey has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Auston Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Roy Palmer went supernova for Potomac, dropping a double-double on 32 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Jayron Bohulano, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Potomac, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Douglass knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 contests -- so hopefully the like a good challenge. As for Potomac, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Pumas at 6:00 p.m.
