After two weeks on the road, Montgomery is heading back home. They will square off against North Caddo at 7:00 PM on Friday. Montgomery will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
Montgomery put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season last Thursday. They won the game and then some against Northwood, taking the game 60-28. Montgomery found their leader in underclassman sophomore Mikel Auge, who rushed for 149 yards and 3 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Auge's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past three games.
Meanwhile, after flying high against D'Arbonne Woods two weeks ago, North Caddo came back down to earth. North Caddo suffered a grim 0-34 defeat to Mansfield. The state rankings had actually given North Caddo a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Montgomery's win lifted them to 6-2 while North Caddo's defeat dropped them down to 3-5. We'll find out if Montgomery can add another positive mark to their record or if North Caddo can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Montgomery's step.
