The North Side Steers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 41-20 loss at the hands of Arlington Heights. North Side has not had much luck with Arlington Heights recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Arlington Heights was led to victory by Carson James and Latreal Brooks. James rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, while Brooks rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Allen Banks also helped with two touchdowns in total.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Arlington Heights' defense and their three sacks. In that department, Marco Trevino was the leader with two sacks.
North Side has yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 4-6 record. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.4 points per game. As for Arlington Heights, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
North Side does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Arlington Heights will face off against Lake Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Dallas is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
