West Oaks Academy is 0-6 against Foundation Academy since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The West Oaks Academy Flame will be playing at home against the Foundation Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. West Oaks Academy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Two weeks ago, West Oaks Academy ended up a good deal behind Orlando Christian Prep and lost 35-18. While losing is never fun, West Oaks Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 450th, while Orlando Christian Prep is ranked 172nd).
Foundation Academy aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Friday extended their overall winning streak to four. They walked away with a 49-41 win over The First Academy. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
James Jt bronaugh was his usual excellent self, rushing for 394 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.2 yards per carry. Jt bronaugh really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Michael Dove was another key contributor, rushing for 25 yards and two touchdowns.
Foundation Academy's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB 3.5 times. Leading the way was Drew Flournoy and his two sacks.
West Oaks Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Foundation Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
West Oaks Academy couldn't quite finish off Foundation Academy in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 and fell 38-36. Will West Oaks Academy have more luck at home instead of on the road?
