It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cypress Lake Panthers had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Pirates 69-45. Winning may never get old, but Cypress Lake sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Cypress Lake was led to victory by Obang Ochan and Giordan Easely. Ochan scored eight points along with seven assists and five steals, while Easely scored 22 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Joey Dube - garrett, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Cypress Lake is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season. As for Port Charlotte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11.
Cypress Lake will take on Mariner at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cypress Lake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Port Charlotte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
