The Havre Blue Ponies will be playing at home against the Fergus Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Havre's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Havre and Malta squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly Havre had to settle for second. They fell to the Mustangs 68-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Fergus scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Malta out 62-60. The win was nothing new for Fergus as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kieran Netburn had an outrageously good game as he scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Trajan Sparks was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
Havre's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Fergus, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Havre might still be hurting after the 70-50 defeat they got from Fergus in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Havre avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
